A Little Giggle...

I know this is a break from my Christmas favorites, but I just had to share. During Sharing Time in Primary , the Primary President was teaching about the Savior's birth. She started to read from Luke 2..."And it came to pass that in those days..." That's as far as she got before one of my little boys started yelling "Hey! That's in my scriptures!!!" I thought he must mean that the Christmas story is in his scriptures, so I asked "Does your family read the Christmas Story every year?" I was about 3/4 of the way through that sentence when he yelled "My scriptures say "And it came to pass!". Funny boy!

Conversations in Primary

The following conversations occurred between me and my primary kids today.

This first conversation came out of nowhere. We were talking about prophets at the time.
A: "I don't want to get baptized."
Mish: "Okay." (I know, I know. Bad teacher moment. I have little to no patience with A. She's very difficult.)
A: "Well, why can't I wear goggles?"
Mish: "Because we don't wear goggles at church. But you can close your eyes really tight."

The second conversation came during sharing time while we were playing "Guess the Prophet".
E: "Once there was a prophet who stole money from the rich people to give to the poor people."
Mish: (making a valiant effort not to laugh) "Well...he wasn't a prophet, but he did try to help people."

I learn something every week. I'm just not always sure the kids do. :)
