Augh! I am so behind, but I am going to try to catch up. Last Friday (Aug. 1) I was able to go to the Capitol Theater in SLC to see High School Musical. Heidi and some friends had season tickets to Broadway Across America this year, and HSM was the final show. Our friend, Betsy, was stuck in Boston, and couldn't make it, so she generously offered me her ticket. We had a good time, despite some difficulty being able to see the stage. The theater doesn't have stadium seating, so the seats are offset so you have the window between the heads of the patrons in front of you to see. The man in front of Heidi and me didn't understand how that concept works. He was either leaning away from his wife (in Heidi's way) or putting his arm around his wife and leaning close to her (blocking my view). After intermission, we were able to slide down a couple of seats and MIRACLE...we could see the rest of the show!
From there we went straight to Borders for the "Breaking Dawn" release party. We got there late (around 11:00pm) so we missed the games, debates, etc. We did, however, get our fill of screaming 14 year old girls! Here is all I'm going to say about BD: It was okay. Definitely different from the other three books, and my least favorite of the series, but it was an entertaining read.
Saturday would have been Grandpa O's 93rd birthday, so we remembered him by going to see his gravesite for the first time since his funeral. Then we went to his house and ate Rootbeer Floats (one of Grandpa's favorites), looked at pictures, and shared memories. I got teary-eyed a few times, but for the most part, it was a good day.

Here I am, sitting with Grandpa for a minute.
